Peggy Clemons (born in Virginia Beach, Virginia) is a speaker, singer and actress. For over four decades, Peggy has inspired others and has been recognized for her multi-faceted talents along the way. For example, one of many awards includes the “Woman History Maker” recognition from Brooklyn Borough President in 1999.

As an accomplished singer for 45 years and actress for 42 years, Peggy has performed at world-renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall and Madison Square Garden in New York City (NYC), the United States Capitol for the National Campaign to Stop Violence, and the Apollo Theater in NYC. She was the opening act for musical legend Shirley Caesar, performed with a 150-piece orchestra, and sang for audiences of over 30,000 people. Additionally, Peggy has graced the stage with Alvin Ailey’s dance legend Judith Jamison and performed on Broadway as the lead vocalist for the production “Mama I Want to Sing”.  Peggy’s experience runs the gamut as she has performed all over the Unites States, on television and she’s performed before national dignitaries such as former First Lady Hillary Clinton.

Alongside Peggy’s career in entertainment, she spent 40 years as a passionate Educator and public speaker. During her span in education, Peggy served as an Assistant Principal, School Administrator, Physical Education Teacher, Guidance Counselor, Dance Instructor, Choreographer, and Choir Director where she received many accolades including  “Outstanding Teacher of the Year” and “Outstanding Guidance Counselor of the Year” awards in New York City.  In November 2016, Peggy received the Obama Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for lifetime commitment to building a stronger nation through volunteer services.

On November 12, 2017, she also was ordained by Dr. Cindy Trimm into Cindy Trimm Ministries International, Inc. as a member of the Global Alliance of Christian Leaders at the Georgia World Congress Center. Over the years, she has honed her gift to motivate and encourage others and has become a sought after speaker and leader.

Being a life-long learner, Peggy earned her Bachelor’s, Master’s and post Master’s degrees from Long Island University and City University of New York respectively. She now is a member of Influencers Church of Atlanta under the awesome & dynamic leadership of Pastors Ashley and Jane Evans, and serves as one of the leaders of the Prayer and Intercession Team.

Peggy is the loving daughter and caretaker of Virginia Harvey, her greatest friend, role model and confidant. She currently resides in Oxford, Georgia with her loving husband of 29 years, and is also the mother of one daughter and grandmother of three.
